Tonight I spent the evening wrapping up a bundle of toys and baby girl clothes in a pretty pink wrapping paper covered in snowmen. Rene and I were blessed with 3 beautiful boys and we have always been thankful to God for providing for our family. There may have been tough times through out the years but we overcame those trying times. Even during those times we always found a way to give to someone less fortunate than us. Our church is a group of firm believers in giving back to our community and loving others. We believe in outreach and this year we adopted a family that has been going through a very difficult and trying season. I won’t go into many details but when we learned of this family, my boys, hubby and I jumped at the request to provide a beautiful Christmas for this family. We were given the gift to buy gifts and necessities for their beautiful 6 month old baby girl. Rene and I headed out on a shopping spree right after work this evening and I spent the rest of tonight wrapping up gift after gift. From cute little baby girl clothes, pampers and wipes and lots of toys to keep her entertained for months to come. We were thrilled to be a part of this baby girl’s first Christmas and making this a special Christmas for her and her entire family as her mother battles an illness that has kept her going back and forth into the hospital. We have been able to bless other families and children in the past during the Christmas season and we LOVE that God gives us these opportunities to share our love and blessings with others. Sometimes life can bring you to a point that seems hopeless. There may be days that you may feel that things will never turn around for the better. Just know that God has so much love for each and every one of you. And when you least expect it God will bring someone into your life that will shower you with His love. Someone will come and bring you a hug from God that will bring you all the comfort in knowing that He is right there reassuring you that this too shall pass. And when you can, be a blessing to someone. It fills my heart with so much joy to give to someone else and know that the gifts we provide them gives them affirmation that God is looking out for them. This family has no idea what’s to come this upcoming Sunday when we surprise them with gifts for everyone. They didn’t ask for a thing this Christmas…only to have their mom…wife…to be in better health and back home enjoying her life with her kids and husband. Be a blessing by keeping them in your prayers.
XOXO…Ileen

“I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” Matthew 25:35-36
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35
