Dear God,
Thank you for always loving me and for never giving up on me.
It’s such a beautiful blessing to have a loving Father that forgives us despite our sins. God has never once given up on me…and He has never given up on you. One thing I have learned is that God gives us an unconditional love unlike any other love we experience. God showers us with his mercy and undying love despite who we are and what we do. We can be disappointed time and time again by people we care about deeply…a loved one…a friend…a child. There will be times that our hearts will just ache in agony over the hurt caused to us by others. We allow this hurt and pain to consume us at times. This pain causes us to lose sight of all hope. It’s in these moments that we begin to allow the hurt of man to take over our hearts and minds. We find ourselves in darkness, lost and hurt. When we feel this pain our natural instinct is to lash out, get angry, cry and at times shut others out. Now imagine if God did this to you. Imagine if each and every time you did something hurtful towards God, every time you disappointed God and let him down He turned away from you. Imagine if He shut you out and became angry with you. This is NOT who God is. God will NEVER turn his back on you no matter what you have done. We should learn to do the same with those that cause us hurt and pain. Yes, we want to get our frustrations out and make a point that they know, HEY you hurt me! But this doesn’t resolve anything. Don’t stand there holding your ground on what you know they did wrong to you and how right you are. Instead open your hearts and bring it all to God. Let God handle the situations you are in. Let God restore you heart with love and peace. Allow God to show you how to give others the love he shows to you. Allow God to show you to be merciful with others just as he is merciful with you. Lift your hearts and prayers to God. Forgive those that cause you pain and love them. God will do the rest.
XOXO…Ileen
Psst…God Loves You
