Some people start off on a journey to run away from their life, some to overcome something that’s weighing them down in life, sometimes people go on a journey to find themselves even to rediscover who they are while others venture on a journey to seek spiritual fulfillment. My journey is with God. My journey is to get closer to God and become the woman God wants me to be. I have literally spent these last 2 days resting and doing some proofing and editing of my book. I’m not good at resting but right now I need to. I’ve set out on a journey that has me both excited and nervous at the same time. I started doing my research on what all I need to do to prepare to submit my book for review by agents and publishers. This is not an easy task. If anything, it’s all so intimidating. But I vowed to not allow FEAR and INTIMIDATION to keep me from moving forward. God has brought me this far that I know this is just the beginning of a beautiful journey. Life won’t always come easy to us and we will hit road blocks at times but we should not give up. We can’t spend our lives running from a life that just isn’t what we planned or hoped for. We can’t spend our days trying to figure out who we are instead of enjoying the life we have. We can’t spend our time running from disappointments either. We have to face them head on and be strong to overcome. I’m preparing myself mentally for the rejections but at the same time I have hope that in the end the results will be great. Today I woke up not feeling 100% and spent the day watching movies on couch rest. As I sat here watching movie after movie I noticed that the 3 movies we have seen are all pretty much about journeys in life that one takes. I started to think about my own. My journey with God. It’s an exciting journey and I see all the wonderful things God is already doing in my life. I’m not running from any problems…I’m facing them. I’m not hiding from the disappointments and frustrations…I’m standing up tall against them. I’m not trying to rediscover myself…I’m working on being the woman God wants me to be. My journey is a long one and I’m happy to know that God is walking with me the entire way…through every mountain…through every storm. What journey are you on? Are you walking with God on your journey? Are you trusting in Him to lead the way? Or are you running from something? Always know that God is just a prayer away and He can help you along the way.
