Your circumstances do not define who you are.  You decide who you want to be. The choice is yours.  I’ve always been a firm believer that the choices we make, make the person we are.  Growing up I went through some difficult times, especially as a child.  As I grew older I didn’t allow myself to dwell on what had happened or the whys and why nots.  Instead, I pushed myself to choose to steer my thoughts clear away from the negative.  I spent my time enjoying the now instead of repeating the memories of yesterday.  Today I can say that had I not changed my focus and chosen to have a different mentality about my life and my circumstances, I would not be the strong woman I am today.  I have my tough days where I just want to fall apart, but I choose to seek God for my strength and courage.  I can easily sit and have a pity party every time things don’t go my way but instead I choose to thank God for getting me through another day and for the blessings to come.  There may be days where we may not feel God is answering our prayers and all the cards are stacked against us.  We can easily say, hey that’s just how the cards are dealt to me and just deal with it.  Or you shuffle those cards and deal out a new hand.  Every decision you make impacts the life you live.  Choose God for direction, for answers, for wisdom and most importantly choose to have faith in God.  Only He can guide you and get you through the toughest of days.  Only He can restore the peace in your heart.
