Is there something you have dreamt of doing but felt it was too late to start. Maybe you have always wanted to get back into school, study something new, head off on a new career path. At 41, I made a change in my life and a year later that change resulted in me studying to be a Certified Christian Life Coach. I am learning something completely new and something I never saw myself doing. I didn’t even know what a Christian Life Coach was. At one point I said to myself, “Wow, seriously…NOW you want to start something new?” At my age some may feel they are too old to make a major career change or even to start college for the first time. They live with just a dream of what they wish they could do. I’ve learned age is simply a number. It doesn’t define me as a person. Some may believe otherwise but the reality is, at my age I’m more knowledgeable. I have more life experiences and have seen what difficult days are. I now know that in essence FEAR is the only culprit behind me NOT going out on the limb and trying something new. I always tell my sons, “You have nothing to lose. You just have to try.” If anything I have so much to gain vs what I have to lose. I have an opportunity to learn something amazing that will allow me to help others. I have the opportunity to work with people doing what I love. Encouraging and giving hope to those that need that little nudge of motivation to push them to fulfill their goals in life. Life is full of wonderful possibilities. Why not go for it? Don’t spend your days daydreaming. Start taking action on those dreams and make them a reality. You have nothing to lose. Know that with God nothing is impossible. Seek God for guidance as you begin making your dreams a reality. Not only will He lead the way, He will give you the confidence you need to achieve your goals.
Psst…God Loves You
