Life is full of adventures waiting to be taken. At times we are inspired to jet off and explore something completely different and then there are times we are just too comfortable doing the same old thing, over and over again. We keep ourselves from taking off into unknown territory in fear of what could be out there. We feel more secure if we just stick to what we know verses taking a risk. In life we apply these same principles in our careers. We spend years focusing in one area of our careers and literally put up blinders to what’s outside of what we know even when our career choice is going no where yet we desperately want to succeed. We literally prevent ourselves from exploring new possibilities. Sometimes our greatest adventures are those we share in a relationship. If we continue to allow fear of the unknown to hold us back from taking that leap of faith, how can we expect our relationships to grow and blossom. You can sit and dream about all the possibilities out there and dream about the life you wish you could have. OR…you can take action and not allow the fear of the unknown prevent you from going off on a new journey. I’ve tried many things in my life, taking paths to the unknown, explored new territory and I learned from it all. If one thing didn’t work out I didn’t allow it to consume me and break me. I see them as beautiful adventures. Had I waited for the perfect moment to start a family, honestly, I probably would have never married or had children. If I had waited for the perfect moment to start my business or to write my book, again, nothing would have happened. If I continued to allow fear to hold me back, I would not be sitting here right now writing my blog. I would be too worried what everyone would think of me or what they would say. If I focused solely on every mistake I made in life and decided, yup, that’s it, I’m not trying anymore, I would never accomplish a thing. God laid out a path for me…a path of the unknown. I was afraid, I felt insecure and just flat out unsure if this was the right thing for me or if I was even qualified. But I put all my faith in God, not in man and I don’t have one regret whatsoever. I’m enjoying everyday of this beautiful adventure I am on with God. Life is too precious to live it in regret, wondering if only I had tried…if only I had done this or that. Put your faith in God. Trust that in all you do, He will be right there to guide you along the way.
