When it rains…

It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring.  Oh, if only the woes we had were the sounds of snoring when the rain comes down.

Sometimes when it rains in life it really comes down pouring hard.  It’s difficult to keep our head above water and wonder sometimes, “God where are you?”  When Job was going through that trying difficult season, where he was losing everything and everyone he loved in his life, although he had been so faithful, he couldn’t understand why God allowed all this to happen to him.  Well, the reality is that God doesn’t pick and choose who will be subjected to the rain and who gets beautiful clear skies every single day.  We will ALL go through those difficult trying seasons that will even seem unbearable at times.  We will have stormy days and days of beautiful clear skies.  God loved Job and knew that Job’s faith and love for Him was greater than any circumstance Job could go through.  God loves each and every one of us just the same and He isn’t MAKING you suffer.  If anything, through your suffering He is sustaining you.  He is there giving you strength to fight that next battle.  He is giving you the endurance to keep going.  He is giving you comfort.  He is holding your hand.  God simply wants us to keep trusting in Him to get us through yet another season of rainy stormy days.  Don’t allow today’s circumstances to tear you apart from your faith and trust in God.  If anything, use this time to seek God even more as you fight this battle.  God loves you and hears all your pleas and prayers.  Know that this season too shall pass and the rain won’t last a lifetime.
