Good Morning and Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I was sitting here having my morning coffee working on my daily reports in my office when this verse came to mind.
James 1:12 “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
When we set out to do something, pursue an incredible dream or vision, set out to attain our goals, we will face obstacles and trials. It’s a given. It’s not about how the cards are dealt or who is luckier, it’s just life. When we hit this moment we start feeling the stresses of these obstacles and our initial thought is just to give up. When we give up, WHO do we end up giving up on?
I found myself many times in that same scenario. Feeling inadequate and just flat out exhausted and defeated. I was ready to throw in the towel and just quit. But then I realized. I wasn’t just quitting on myself, I was giving up on God and what He is able to do. In that mere glimpse of a moment, God takes those overwhelming feelings of defeat and fills me with a spirit of I Can Do this, I Got This. I am renewed with energy and strength to endure the trials and overcome the obstacles. My mind is renewed and literally rewired so I don’t feel burned out or incapable of succeeding. God gives me a sense of HOPE that failure just isn’t an option. So I keep going. I keep pushing despite any naysayers or my own nay saying.
Let us not give up on ourselves and God. Trust that whatever you situation is right this moment, whatever trial or obstacle you are facing, God gave each of you the strength to endure and overcome. God WILL lift you up and renew your mind, body and soul so that you can keep pushing forward through each difficult time. In the end, the glory will be all yours. You WILL Succeed!
