Saturday was our 2nd Ladies Luncheon and Bible Study where we started off our new series, Beauty Beyond The Mask. The weather was perfect till the moment we started to serve lunch and a little lost cloud decided to hover over us. Thank God, within minutes the rain passed and our luncheon and bible study continued on this glorious day. Isn’t God just incredible. He cleared the skies long enough for us to enjoy this amazing bible study. I just have to say how much I love all these beautiful ladies and all of you that joined us online. My heart has just been dancing away.
Beauty Beyond The Mask has been a topic that has been sitting in my heart for quite some time. I am guilty of wearing a variety of mask and I don’t mean these beautiful masquerade mask. I mean the mask that cover up pain, hurt, unforgiveness, rejection and so many more. I had been covering up years of pain and little did I know what I was doing to myself and to others. I wasn’t allowing myself to be ME. I was hiding hurt that prevented me from letting go and moving forward. I was concealing from everyone what I was truly going through and just smiled saying, “I’m OKAY.” But I wasn’t.
Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation? Have you suffered from anguish? A pain hidden so deep down inside that you have been carrying for years. In Part I – Unmasking The Pain we learn about a beautiful gracious and faithful woman named Hannah. We learn about her deep anguish and how she dealt with her pain. We learn how through her faithfulness and unveiling of her mask of pain, Hannah overcame and was blessed more than she could imagine by God.
