Under Construction

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Wednesday!

When I saw this quote, I was like, WOW…so so true. To get to success it takes time, trial and error and at times feels never ending with hard work. It’s like constructing a house from the foundation up.

Walking with Christ is pretty much the same thing. We will be in a construction phase throughout our walk. We are a Work In Progress!

Paul says in Philippians 3:12 “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

I love this scripture because right here, we are reminded that we won’t always have it all figured out. We won’t always walk that perfect line with God. There will be times we fall weak to sin and do something we shouldn’t. It’s human nature of us. But we strive to pursue doing good regardless, even after we err.

When Jesus died for our sins, it was not a one time deal. You are pardoned just this once and all future mistakes, too bad. It’s over. No way! Jesus died so that when we sin, when we do wrong, we can come to God for forgiveness and receive that forgiveness. We are under construction! There’s road work ahead as we walk towards God.

Don’t give up on your walk just because you did something you or others feel God won’t ever forgive you for. Would a parent never forgive their child for breaking the rules at home? Of course not. A parent’s love last forever. That applies to God’s love for us as well. It’s never ending. Always merciful. Always forgiving.

My dear friend, I leave you with one thought, PRESS ON! Press on with those goals. Press on with your relationship. Press on with your marriage. Press on with your career. Press on with your dreams. Press on with your walk with Christ. PRESS ON!

XOXO…Ileen

psst…God Loves You
