As I studied this morning, in the book of Nehemiah, God laid it on my heart to share this message with you. Know that whatever oppressions have you bogged down, carrying that burden, feeling broken and weighed down, God will send a deliverer to you.

Today’s scripture comes from Nehemiah 9:27,

“But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.”

Take time, during this week of Holy Week, and read chapter 9 in Nehemiah. Read how many times Nehemiah reminds God, not that God needs reminding, but he reminds him of the many times He forgave and delivered the Israelites from oppression. From their sins. From their stubbornness.

Take heart and know that God continues to do the very same with us. But first, like the Israelites, we must cry out to God and surrender to Him. We must believe and accept that the sacrifice Christ made for us, was done out of love and compassion for us all. So that we could be forgiven of our sins and be free from the oppression that has held us down.

I wish you many blessings on this week of Holy Week.

psst…God Loves You
