Just Be Still

This morning I jumped out of bed at a little pass 11:00 😱, rushing to get my day going. Why rush you ask? Lol. This happens to be one of those days where I have a million and one things to do. A day easily consumed by the chaos of the busyness. I darted out the door before eating or even having my dose of must have caffeine.

Have you ever experienced a day like this? Of course not! Not you. You have it all together right?! Lol. The reality is, many of us start our days just like this. Caught up in the hustle and bustle of the day. We run ourselves ragged, forgetting to (1) make time for God and (2) make time for US. We forget to just BE STILL.

As I drove contemplating whether to grab a quick bite at a drive thru or just a frap from Starbucks, for my dose of caffeine, I felt this need to Just Be Still. God was reminding me how I needed to stop. Stop the rushing. Stop the chaos. And sit in a peaceful place and Just Be Still.

I pulled over to my favorite place to enjoy a lunch not rushing thru anything. Just being in a peaceful setting taking in the blessings from our Father.

God took me from a state of utter chaos and crazyness to a state of peace. A place where I could bask in His blessings.

Have you sat in His stillness? Have you pulled yourself away from the busyness? Have you stopped and listened to that peaceful voice saying to you, “Just Be Still. I have it all under control. Trust in Me.”

My beautiful friend, I encourage you to listen to the gentle voice of our Father. Listen as He calls you into His presence. Obey Him and Just Be Still. Trust Him and know that God has it all under control. There is no chaos He can not calm down.

Psalm 107:29 says, “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.”

My dear friend, allow God to come in and calm all your storms. Allow Him to renew that peace within you. Not only will the storms come to a stillness but so will your spirit.

XOXO…Ileen

psst…God Loves You
