Remember Joseph? In Genesis 37, we learn about a young man named Jospeh. Here’s a guy, that as a young boy had these dreams. Dreams no one understood. If anything, many were offended.

Joseph suffered long trials and his circumstances often seemed so bleak. Nothing like his dreams. Time after time Joseph faced a set back.

But not once do we read where Joseph gave up and quit. If anything, he pressed forward in total faith. He trusted God even though he was far from fulfilling his dreams.

And after years of trials and setbacks, Joseph’s life shifted. From a moment of uncertainty and unfair circumstances, Jospeh’s dreams were realized at just the right moment. The moment those that turned against him out of jealousy saw Joseph in the position he was in, they realized how wrong they were. They saw God’s hand of favor clearly laid upon Jospeh’s life.

Joseph’s story reminds us just how important it is to remain steadfast and faithful in pursuing our dreams. Joseph is a prime example of what it means to truly trust in God when all else seems to not go as planned.

We know that scripture tells us, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21)

Let us be more like Jospeh and hold tight to God’s promises. Those dreams and visions he gives to us. Let us work each day as though those dreams are already fulfilled. Take heart in knowing that the promises God has made WILL be kept. In its proper season, the way that is best for God. He knows exactly when we are ready to step into our season.
